Not every wedding needs a packed dance floor or a guest list of 200 people.
Sometimes, all you need is the love of your closest family, a meaningful place to say "I do," and the person you've chosen to spend forever with.
That's exactly what Danielle and Ian created on a crisp October afternoon at the Leduc Stone Barn Garden.
While October 31st is usually associated with costumes, candy, and spooky celebrations, this Halloween was something entirely different. It was heartfelt, personal, and full of quiet moments that reminded everyone what weddings are really about.
Surrounded by their children, parents, and closest friends, Danielle and Ian exchanged vows beneath the timber pergola at the Stone Barn Garden. The overcast autumn sky created the softest light, while the final pumpkins of the season added just the right touch of fall to the gardens.
One of my favourite things about intimate weddings is that nothing feels rushed.
There was time for hugs that lingered a little longer, conversations between family members, and genuine moments that often get lost in the pace of a larger wedding day. Every smile, every laugh, and every happy tear felt incredibly personal because everyone present had played an important role in their story.
And then there was Danielle.
She completely embraced doing things her own way.
Her stunning black floral gown was elegant, timeless, and perfectly suited for an autumn wedding. Paired with soft pink roses and rich purple accents, the entire day felt romantic without trying to fit into tradition. It was a beautiful reminder that your wedding should reflect who you are—not what anyone else expects.
As the ceremony came to an end, the afternoon slowed into family portraits, quiet walks through the gardens, and time spent simply enjoying the company of the people who mattered most.
There were no distractions.
No pressure.
Just a couple beginning the next chapter of their lives surrounded by the people they love.
It's days like these that remind me why I love documenting weddings.
The grand celebrations are incredible, but there's something truly special about intimate weddings. They allow space for genuine connection, meaningful conversations, and moments that become lifelong memories.
